Nestled among the rolling hills northwest of Ruston, in the heart of Mitcham’s Peach Orchard, lies a quaint country store filled with many wonderful food items, gift baskets, and local artists’ works.

Mitcham Farms peach products are available for purchase during and after peach season. Products may be purchased at the processing shed, by phone, or at The Peach Store (see map). These products are very popular gifts for the holidays, but due to limited supplies, we recommend that you place your holiday orders early.

Mitcham Farms, LLC owns and operates the largest peach orchard in the state of Louisiana. Located just 2 miles outside of Ruston, an area renowned for excellent peaches, Mitcham's has approximately one hundred, thirty acrease of peach trees. The orchard was first planted in 1946 by J.E. Mitcham, Sr. Mr. Mitcham has always been dedicated to producing only the highest quality fruit, a tradition that is carried on by his son, Joe E. Mitcham, Jr.

In 1999, Joe Mitcham partnered with some of the very best local processing companies, to create additional peach products in an attempt to utilize the over-ripe peaches. They have succeeded in creating some very interesting and very tasty products using the sweet Mitcham’s peaches.

Mitcham's peaches area available May through August (exact dates will vary from season to season), and you may purchase fresh picked peaches at the processing shed. We are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5::00 p.m. Other fruits and vegetables are also available at the shed including tomatoes, blueberries, watermelons, and more.

All of our peaches are hand picked and grraded, and you can enjoy watching the processing and packagin first hand. Tour groups are welcome, but we recommend that you call ahead to check availability and processing times.
